UK and International Deliveries

Orders

By completing and submitting the electronic order form (or proceeding through the 'checkout process') you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. Neither submitting an electronic order form nor completing the checkout process constitutes our acceptance of your order.

Please note that orders including Made To Order items will be shipped all together - please check turnaround times on all products.

Postage and Packaging

We aim to fulfill orders within 1-2 working days, excluding Made To Order items. Please note that fulfilling your order at peak times may take longer than usual (approx. 3-4 working days).  We appreciate your patience and apologise for any inconvenience.

Please see individual listings for the approximate turnaround times for Made To Order Items.

We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays, including Christmas, New Year, and other bank holidays.  

 

Within the UK

Orders valued at £300 and over are shipped free of charge.

For orders under £300 in value, we charge up to £5.00 for Royal Mail Tracked 24 Services. Postage costs will be automatically calculated at checkout. Please note:  Royal Mail Tracked 24 refers to the shipping method rather than a guaranteed 24-hour delivery from the time of order - please see above for our dispatch time frames.

In some instances, orders will be delivered by Courier and will need a signature on receipt.

Please advise us on your order of any delivery instructions.  Please make sure that all delivery details are correct at the time of purchase.  If you need to make an amendment or change to an alternative delivery address, please contact us within 24hrs of your purchase.  We cannot guarantee these changes can be made beyond this timeframe.

 

International Deliveries & Customs

Postage and Packing is calculated on your order at checkout according to Size and Weight.

Orders valued at £500 and over are shipped free of charge.

Any order that is dispatched outside of the European Economic Community will be sent Tax Free (Present UK VAT is at 20%)

For items to be exported, the carriage charge covers packaging and delivery only.  Customs duties may be payable.

We are unable to advise on these amounts, and the recipient is responsible for paying this duty.

Return Policy

At Givan’s Irish Linen Stores, we take great pride in the quality of our products and aim to ensure every item is delivered in perfect condition. However, if you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re happy to offer a return or exchange, subject to the conditions below.

If you change your mind about your purchase, you may return it for a refund or exchange, provided that:

  • The item is returned within 28 days of receipt.

  • The item is in perfect, unused, unwashed condition, with all original packaging intact.

  • You include a copy of your original order confirmation as proof of purchase.

Please note: Due to the natural characteristics of textiles, all sizes quoted are approximate and minor variations can occur. Returns will only be accepted for items that are in good condition.

How to Return an Item:

  1. Contact us at info@givans.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order if you wish to cancel or return it.

  2. Return the goods to us within 28 days of delivery.

  3. Ensure the parcel is securely packaged to avoid damage in transit.

  4. Include your order number and reason for return inside the package.

Return costs are borne by the buyer. Your statutory rights will not be affected.

Damages and Issues

If your item is damaged or you received the wrong product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and details. We’ll arrange a replacement at no additional cost.

Exceptions / Non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, including custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as eye masks or socks, etc.). These exceptions do not affect a Buyer's statutory rights concerning faulty goods. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

 

Exchanges

Items must be returned for exchange within 28 days of receipt. Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in good condition.

Please email us at info@givans.co.uk with your order number, details of the item you'd like to exchange, and the item you’d like in return. We’ll confirm availability and provide return instructions. 

If the price of the exchanged goods is less than the original price, we will refund the difference to the original payment card only. If the price of the exchanged items is greater than the original price, we will require the excess payment made before shipping.

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items for exchange. We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we cannot be held responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit.

A new delivery charge will apply for sending the replacement item. This will be calculated based on your location and the size/weight of the parcel, and payment will be arranged before the dispatch of the exchanged item.

Please note we cannot offer exchanges on:

  • Personalised or embroidered items

  • Used or washed items

  • Items returned outside the 28-day window

Refunds

Refunds are available on eligible items returned within 28 days of receipt, provided they are unused, unwashed, in original packaging, and in good condition. We do not offer refunds on:

  • Personalised or embroidered items

  • Used or laundered products

  • Items returned outside the 28-day window

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email to confirm whether your refund has been approved. If approved, the refund will be processed automatically via your original payment method. We are unable to refund via any other method.

Please note that it can take 3–5 working days for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund to your account. This timeframe may vary depending on your banking provider.

Customers are responsible for the cost of return postage, unless the item is faulty or we’ve made an error with your order. We recommend using a tracked and insured service to ensure safe return, as we cannot take responsibility for lost or damaged returns.

Christmas Return/Exchange Policy 2025/2026

For purchases made in November and December 2025, we have extended our returns policy so that items can be returned or exchanged until 31st January 2026. 


Exchange: Items purchased in November & December 2025 can be exchanged until the 31st January 2026.
These items need to be unused, in original packaging, and in good condition. We also require the original order number to process the exchange.
If the price of the exchanged goods is less than the original price, we will refund the difference to the original payment card only. If the price of the exchanged items is greater than the original price, then we will require the excess payment made before shipping.
Exchanged items will only be sent once the original items have been returned and are in good condition. 


Returns/Refund: Items purchased in November & December 2025 can be returned for a full refund until 31st January 2026.
The amount will be refunded to the original payment method only. We cannot refund payments by any alternative means. A refund will only be processed once the items have been returned and are in good condition. We will require the original order number to process a return.
